Programmable Cutter

The Zip-A4 cutter/slitter is a unique machine designed to handle low quantity business cards and other multiple-up products produced on ink jet and laser printers. The Zip-A4 uses a replaceable blade cassette to slit and/or score the sheet as it passes through the machine. A guillotine cutter cross cuts the sheet as it is advanced through the Zip-A4 with a programmable paper drive. The combination of in-line slitting/scoring with programmable guillotine cutting allows common products (like 10-up business cards) to be accurately processed in a single pass.

When running business cards , a bleed between the two rows of cards and edge trim is removed from both sides of the sheet. Card length is varied using the programmable cutter. This control allows a scissor cut or a variable size gutter to be removed between individual cards.

Combined with a laser or ink jet printer, the Zip-A4 allows low volume business cards and other multiple-up products to be produced with ease.

Price includes one blade cassette with four blades configured to slit two 3 1/2" wide business card strips. Optional blade cassettes are available for special sizes and foldover formats.
